Black Bean Chili

10 cups cooked black beans
5 cloves garlic
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. basil ½ tsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. lime juice
2 green peppers, chopped
2 Tab. olive oil
28 oz. tomato juice
8 oz. diced chilies

Put beans and 3 cups water in a large kettle. In a heavy skillet, sauté garlic, seasonings, lime juice, and peppers in olive oil over medium heat until peppers are tender. Add to cooked beans; add tomato juice and green chilies. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with grated cheese and sour cream.
